The founder, Azhar Mamdani, prior to establishing Mamdani Law, was involved in multiple businesses and completed his bachelor’s in accounting from University of Houston-Downtown before attending South Texas College of Law in Downtown Houston and as part of a study abroad program in London, attended a course on the history of US Supreme Court taught by Chief Justice John Roberts. Also, while attending law school, Mr. Mamdani worked at the Texas Attorney General, Harris County District Court, a Board-Certified Civil Litigation Attorney, an experienced Tax Attorney, and volunteered at Lone Star Legal Aid-Tax Division.

Mr. Mamdani is a member of Texas State Bar’s section of Litigation, Tax, Business Law, Corporate Counsel, Immigration/Nationality Law, and admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Texas, the United States Tax Court, United States District & Bankruptcy Court of Southern District of Texas, and the United States Supreme Court. For the year 2023, Super Lawyers selected Mr. Mamdani as a Texas Rising Star.
